Cipher Pursuit
Disappearing Act resources are PowerPoint games. In this whole-class activity, students will choose from a selection of themed clipart images. Think Jeopardy, but you're choosing between a top hat and a wand instead of picking 300 vs. 500 points. After each question is answered, the corresponding clipart will disappear. Once all icons have completed their "disappearing act," the game is over. Students will total their scores to determine who will be victorious! But be careful...click the wrong icon, and you might lose a turn. Or, you might earn bonus points!
Disappearing Act games are perfect for whole-class review days. We love to use them as test prep activities, but you can incorporate them into larger lesson plans, or even use them as a pre-assessment tool.
